Obstacles

I think as parents we want to protect our children from hurt and harm, obstacles. We want them to go through life being accepted and loved. We don't want them to be too different or they won't be "cool" or accepted. We start to control their environment so much that they have no tools to navigate life on their own. We don't want anyone to make fun of them or hurt them physically or emotionally. But what if we are hurting them by not letting life happen. Hurts will come and if not under our care, they will in life. Now hear me out! We should never let a child tumble through life on their own! We are their protection and safe place to call home. Be a good home and their constant love and support. I just think we should give them the tools to cope with life and it's trials.
First thing, Jesus.
Next thing, the world doesn't revolve around you....but you are of highest value to me.
Then teach how to see it from the others persons point of view....if the person is just mean? Forgive them and release yourself from being mean. Unforgiveness attaches their behavior to you. By keeping a grudge you turn into the very person you don't like. 😱
Pray. Pray for everyone. The ones who love you and the ones who don't.
Don't be jealous. Celebrate the win of others! Your win is coming. See what you have and thank God for it!
Life isn't fair, but it is good. Don't strive for fairness. Strive for love and beauty. If it's not existing where you're at then make some!
We can't protect our children from pain. It happens. But we can equip them to thrive in a world that is broken. By the grace of God we can.
God promises to give wisdom to those who ask. I will continue to ask God for his wisdom. He never says you dummy! He always just gives and gives and then tops it off with some whipped cream and a cherry. You're Hid favorite too! So ask for some wisdom!
Remember to trust God and remember that being disliked and having to overcome is not the worst thing in life....not knowing how to cope is the worst.
