Today is one of those days of intense peace and contentment. I believe what God tells me in His word, the bible. The Word gives life and hope. God is so good! He has given me an inheritance, a GOOD inheritance. Pleasant places, those are mine! Bless the Lord, He gives counsel in night seasons. Believe me. I've seen some night! I have accepted the gifts that Jesus freely offered me. The world tries to say it's not true, but it doesn't matter. God is forever the same and endures forever. He is all I need. My circumstances change. Babies are lost to miscarriage. Relationships end. Children mess up. People hurt you. There is something far greater in my life, Jesus, the same, unchanging, forever. My hope is in him, my life is in Him. Trusting while asking why. Believing while the answer is nowhere in sight. When you build on a rock, the Rock, you will always be safe. He is my refuge in the time of storms. I don't have to worry or fear anything. It's complete trust. It's a redeemed life. It's real. It's mine. I am thankful. It's a good day. :)
Psalm 16 (NKJV)
5 O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot.
6 The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; Yes, I have a good inheritance.
7 I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons.
8 I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope.
10 For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.
